DHL Expands Global Partnership with Shopify to Boost Cross-Border Shipping

On May 26, media sources reported that DHL has announced the expansion of its global partnership with leading e-Commerce platform Shopify. The collaboration aims to offer faster and more efficient logistics solutions for merchants, enabling smoother global delivery of products.

According to the announcement, DHL is now pre-integrated into the Shopify Shipping platform. This integration allows sellers to activate DHL shipping services with just a few clicks, eliminating the need to set up a separate logistics account. By streamlining activation and service management, the new integration reduces operational burdens for merchants while supporting complex customs clearance, legal compliance, and administrative tasks.

The service has officially launched in both the United States and Germany. In the U.S., DHL has further enhanced the cross-border eCommerce experience by offering a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping option. This allows sellers to prepay all applicable duties and taxes, sparing customers from unexpected fees at the border. The result is a more transparent and seamless shopping experience for end buyers.

Looking ahead, DHL plans to gradually expand its shipping services to key markets across Europe, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region between 2025 and 2026.
