Walmart's First-Ever Holiday Sale Event: October 8-13!

On September 19, international media reported that Walmart will be holding its first-ever holiday sale event from October 8 to October 13.

The 6-day event will feature massive discounts on both Walmart-owned products and marketplace items, covering categories like electronics, home goods, fashion, and toys. Walmart+ members, the retailer's paid loyalty program, will get exclusive perks, including early access to the sale starting at 12 AM on October 8 through the official website and app, a full 12 hours before the general public. Non-members will be able to shop online starting at noon that day, with in-store deals beginning on October 9.

Walmart noted that nearly 50% of shoppers had already started their holiday shopping as early as August and September, with customers continuing to focus on budgeting and planning ahead to make the most of their holiday spending. To meet this demand, Walmart has planned to roll out its holiday offers starting in October, kicking off the season with this sale and bringing back popular holiday bundles—weeks earlier than usual.

Walmart isn’t the only retailer getting a head start on holiday deals. Its top competitor, Amazon, will launch its Prime Big Deal Days from October 8 to 9, and Target is also hosting its fall Circle Week promotion from October 6 to 12.
