Shopee’s New Malaysia Membership: Unveiling Exclusive Perks for Shoppers

Shopee has launched a new tiered membership rewards program in Malaysia, designed to thank loyal users and offer them even more exclusive benefits. The program has four tiers, starting at Classic (basic membership) and reaching up to Platinum, with each level tied to specific spending thresholds and perks.

Upon registration, all users begin as Classic members, enjoying benefits such as approximately 275 MYR worth of vouchers, discounted shipping, and cashback. Once a user completes 10 orders and spends at least 500 MYR, they’re elevated to the Silver tier, which comes with all existing benefits plus a special birthday voucher.

At 30 orders and a total spend of 2,000 MYR, users become Gold members. This tier introduces Shopee Food vouchers and partner-exclusive discounts, the latter of which will roll out soon.

Platinum, the highest tier, is reserved for those with 50 orders and at least 4,000 MYR in spending. In addition to all prior benefits, Platinum members enjoy priority customer service with faster response times and dedicated support.

Membership tiers run on a six-month cycle, allowing immediate upgrades when thresholds are met. However, to maintain a tier, users must continue meeting the order and spending requirements within each cycle. If not, their membership level will be downgraded, and their spending history reset. Notably, purchases of digital products, Shopee games, and Shopee Food do not count towards tier progression.

This new membership initiative encourages continuous engagement and enhances the overall shopping experience. By introducing a rich benefits structure and gradually adding partner perks, Shopee aims to deliver greater value to its most active users, ensuring that frequent shoppers enjoy premium service and meaningful rewards.
