Temu’s Surge in Brazil Drives 132% Jump in Imported Goods Visits

In April, Temu continued its rapid expansion in Brazil, with a remarkable 25.8% increase in clicks, reaching 276 million monthly visits, according to the latest data from Conversion. This surge significantly boosted consumer interest in imported products.

While Brazil’s overall e-commerce website traffic dipped slightly by 1.4% in April 2025, app-based visits remained strong, edging up 0.8% month-over-month. Against this backdrop, Temu marked its 12th consecutive month of high growth, adding 56 million new clicks in a single month and climbing to become Brazil’s second-largest e-commerce platform.

Currently, Mercado Libre (Mercado Livre) holds the top spot with 12.3% of the market’s traffic share. Temu closely follows with a 9.9% share, surpassing Shopee. During the same period, Shopee’s clicks rose by 6 million, a modest 2.7% month-over-month increase. In comparison, Temu’s performance stands out, underscoring its accelerating market penetration and growing influence in Brazil.

Analysts attribute Temu's success to its effective marketing strategies and compelling value propositions. Through aggressive promotions and a broad product selection, Temu continues to captivate Brazilian consumers. This momentum has fueled a surge in cross-border e-commerce: visits to imported goods categories surpassed 450 million in April, representing a stunning 132% year-over-year increase.
