Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2026: Key Dates for Sellers
author:
Christina Chen
Amazon has officially announced that Prime Big Deal Days 2026 will take place on October 6 and 7, bringing its annual fall shopping event back for a fifth consecutive year.
The event will run across 22 markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Canada, Brazil, and several other major e-commerce markets.
For Amazon sellers, however, the most important dates arrive well before the event itself. Deal submission deadlines are approaching, inventory needs to reach fulfillment centers on time, and advertising and pricing strategies should already be taking shape.
Often referred to by shoppers as the fall or October Amazon Prime Day 2026, Prime Big Deal Days is also an important milestone in the Amazon sales calendar 2026, marking the transition from fall promotions into the peak holiday shopping season.

Prime Big Deal Days Deal Submission Deadlines
With the event approaching, sellers are entering the final stages of their promotional planning.
For the Amazon U.S. marketplace, the deadline for submitting eligible Best Deals and Lightning Deals has been extended to September 22.
Other marketplace deadlines currently include:
- Canada: September 29
- Europe: September 23
- Japan: October 11
Because event dates and submission windows may vary by marketplace, sellers should confirm the latest deadlines directly within their Seller Central accounts.
Amazon has encouraged sellers to submit eligible deals as early as possible to improve their chances of receiving additional exposure during the event.
Depending on the Seller Central interface and marketplace, sellers can access the relevant deal and promotion tools through the advertising or promotional management section of Seller Central.
Sellers Have More Than Best Deals and Lightning Deals
Best Deals and Lightning Deals are not the only Amazon seller promotions available for Prime Big Deal Days.
Eligible sellers can also use Prime-Exclusive Price Discounts, which allow them to offer discounted pricing specifically to Prime members.
Unlike scheduled Best Deals or Lightning Deals, Prime-Exclusive Price Discounts offer greater flexibility. Eligible campaigns can generally be submitted until shortly before the event ends, and a single campaign can include up to 500 eligible products.
Sellers can use these discounts alongside already scheduled deals or run them independently, depending on their promotional strategy.
For products with more aggressive discounts, Amazon may provide additional merchandising visibility, which can help increase traffic and conversion opportunities.
Sellers can also run coupons during the event to maintain promotional coverage throughout the Prime Big Deal Days period.
Prime Big Deal Days Discounts Will Not Hurt BF/CM Deal Eligibility
One of the most important considerations for sellers this year is the relationship between Prime Big Deal Days and the upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Monday, commonly referred to as BF/CM.
Amazon has reminded sellers that promotional prices offered during Prime Big Deal Days will not be included in the applicable price lookback period used to determine eligibility for subsequent BF/CM deals.
For sellers, this creates a useful strategic window.
Brands can use the October event to test different price points, evaluate conversion performance, and identify the products that respond best to stronger promotions without automatically compromising their eligibility for Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.
In practical terms, Prime Big Deal Days can serve as an early Q4 testing ground before sellers commit larger budgets and deeper discounts to the peak holiday shopping period.
Inventory Should Already Be Inbound
Pricing is only one part of preparing for Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2026.
Amazon is also advising sellers to make sure their inventory has either arrived at fulfillment centers or is already in transit early enough to become available for purchase before the event begins.
Late inventory creates a simple but costly problem: a strong promotion has little value if the product is unavailable when customer traffic reaches its peak.
Sellers using FBA should review inbound shipment status, available inventory, projected demand, and replenishment plans before finalizing their promotional strategy.
For products with strong historical advertising performance, sellers may also consider increasing advertising budgets ahead of the event rather than waiting until October 6.
Building traffic and sales momentum before the event can help sellers enter the promotional period with stronger visibility and more useful performance data.
Mexico Will Run a Five-Day Prime Event
Amazon's fall promotion in Mexico will follow a different schedule.
Mega Ofertas de Amazon Prime will run from October 6 through October 10, giving Prime members in Mexico five days of promotional activity.
Customers will be able to shop millions of products across more than 35 categories, with advertised discounts of up to 60%.
Amazon Mexico has also announced financing of up to 24 months without interest, known locally as MSI, along with participating bank promotions offering up to an additional 25% discount.
For international sellers operating in Mexico, the longer promotional window means inventory planning and advertising budgets may need to be structured differently from those used for the two-day U.S. event.
Prime Big Deal Days Will Reach 22 Countries
The 2026 Prime Big Deal Days season will cover 22 markets:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Exact event dates may differ by country, so sellers operating across multiple Amazon marketplaces should avoid relying on a single global schedule.
Marketplace-specific deadlines, deal eligibility, inventory cutoffs, and promotion requirements should be reviewed individually.
Amazon's Fall Prime Event Enters Its Fifth Year
Prime Big Deal Days has now become a regular part of Amazon's annual retail calendar.
Amazon first introduced its fall Prime shopping event in October 2022, initially positioning it as an additional major promotional period outside its traditional summer Prime Day event.
The event has since developed into an important early kickoff to the holiday shopping season.
For sellers, that means Amazon Prime Day 2026 is no longer a single promotional moment during the year. Looking at the Amazon sales calendar 2026, Summer Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday increasingly form a connected series of major sales periods that require coordinated inventory, pricing, advertising, and logistics planning.
Target Is Launching Its Fall Sale on the Same Dates
Amazon will not be the only major U.S. retailer competing for shoppers in early October.
Target has announced that Target Circle Deal Days will also run on October 6 and 7.
The overlapping dates are another indication that U.S. holiday shopping activity is moving earlier in the fourth quarter, with major retailers competing for consumer spending well before the traditional Black Friday period.
For marketplace sellers and brands, October should therefore be viewed as part of the holiday peak season rather than simply a lead-in to November.
What Amazon Sellers Should Do Now
With Prime Big Deal Days only weeks away, sellers should focus on execution rather than waiting until the event begins.
Review eligible Amazon seller promotions, confirm deal submission deadlines for each marketplace, check inbound FBA inventory, evaluate advertising performance, and make sure sufficient stock will be available throughout the promotional period.
Prime Big Deal Days can also be used as a valuable test before Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Sellers can identify which products respond to discounts, determine whether additional advertising spend produces profitable growth, and adjust their Q4 inventory strategy based on real sales data.
For sellers sourcing products from China, logistics planning is equally important. Inventory needs to arrive early enough for receiving, processing, and availability before promotional traffic begins.
Forest Shipping is an international freight forwarder providing shipping solutions from China to Amazon fulfillment centers and other commercial destinations worldwide. We support Amazon sellers with ocean freight, air freight, customs clearance, FBA delivery, and other international logistics services.
As competition around Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2026 intensifies, having inventory in the right market at the right time can be just as important as offering the right discount.
