Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) Upgrade

The busy Q4 holiday season is fast approaching! Amazon extends its gratitude to all sellers for their continued partnership, working together to provide excellent service to customers and achieving many new milestones.

This year, Amazon has witnessed the rapid growth of many sellers in the multi-channel sales domain. To better serve sellers' warehousing and delivery needs in multi-channel sales and to advance Amazon's overall supply chain solutions strategy, starting from September 4th, Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) will undergo a major upgrade! Sellers will enjoy faster multi-channel delivery times at the same prices as before.

Announcement of Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) Service Upgrade

Starting September 4, 2024 (Pacific Time), the delivery speed for orders fulfilled through Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) in the U.S. will be officially enhanced*. This product upgrade is designed to better serve the warehousing and delivery needs of Chinese sellers in the U.S. multi-channel sales market.

• Standard delivery speed will be improved to 3 business days (previously 5 business days), with no change in fees.
• Expedited delivery speed will be improved to 2 business days (previously 3 business days), with no change in fees.

What is Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment?

Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) provides low-cost, reliable delivery services for any of a seller’s non-Amazon sales channels, with the fastest delivery speed reaching as soon as two business days. MCF is an essential part of Amazon’s overall supply chain solution, a series of automated supply chain services that allows sellers to use Amazon’s fulfillment centers and logistics network to store and ship products for their e-commerce business in 10 countries.

Advantages of Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF)

Amazon’s MCF supports delivery services for any sales channel, including TikTok Shop, Temu, eBay, Shopify, AliExpress, and your own branded website. Sellers can leverage Amazon’s warehousing and logistics network to pick, pack, and ship items ordered on non-Amazon sites.

What is the Difference Between MCF and FBA?

1. Multi-Channel Fulfillment(MCF):

Amazon’s MCF provides access to Amazon’s delivery network and operational expertise, enabling you to quickly deliver all orders, regardless of which sales channel the order originates from, helping you drive business growth.

2. Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA):

When an Amazon buyer purchases your product, Amazon can ship it for you through FBA, or you can choose to ship it yourself.

3. Single Inventory Pool for Multi-Channel Orders:

Fulfill orders from Amazon.com and other sales channels using a single inventory pool. Ensure accurate inventory forecasting to meet the demand from both Amazon’s website and other sales channels.

Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) FAQs

1. How do I sign up for Multi-Channel Fulfillment?

A: If you are already using FBA, start from the official MCF Chinese website: gs.amazon.cn/mcf. If you are not yet an Amazon seller, please contact us at mcf-cn-am@amazon.com.

2. Do I need to be an Amazon seller to use Multi-Channel Fulfillment?

A: No. MCF does not require you to sell products on Amazon.

3. I’m already an Amazon seller. Can I use my existing FBA inventory to fulfill Multi-Channel Fulfillment orders?

A: Yes. If you are an existing Amazon seller using FBA, your inventory will be used to fulfill orders both for Amazon customers through FBA and for other sales channels through MCF.

4. How does MCF impact my Amazon Inventory Performance Index (IPI) score?

A: The IPI score measures how efficiently you manage your inventory in Amazon fulfillment centers (FC). Several factors affect your IPI score, one of which is maintaining a balance between sold inventory and existing inventory to avoid overstocking. Utilizing MCF to increase sales turnover can help avoid overstocking, thereby improving your chances of achieving a higher Amazon IPI score.

5. Can I inform buyers that their orders are fulfilled by Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment?

A: Yes. You may use the "Fulfilled by Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment" badge. You can also display the "Fulfilled by Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment" text on your website to enhance the buyer’s checkout experience and reduce cart abandonment.

6. In which countries and regions is MCF available?

A: MCF is available in the U.S., Japan, the U.K., Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Canada, Mexico, and Australia.

7. Will Amazon share my data with other companies?

A: No. Amazon collects only the data necessary for fulfillment services and strictly prohibits the use of non-public seller proprietary data for any purposes outside of these services.
